New Look for Vlamis
On this newsletter, you'll find a new logo for Vlamis Software Solutions. We're updating our look and clarifying our message. We are also planning to revamp our web site with a new template-based system that will make it easier to navigate our web site. We'll be focusing on our message: "Oracle-based Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing Solutions".
TechCast on Sept 8 on Maps in OBIEE 11g
Join us on September 8 at 11am Central time for a BIWA TechCast showcasing the new maps in Oracle Business Intelligence 11g. Once we started working with maps during the OBIEE 11g beta program, we were struck by how they can represent complex relationships in spatial data in an intuitive fashion. We are pleased to be presenting this topic along with NAVTEQ and Oracle BI product management. The BIWA SIG of the IOUG will be hosting the TechCast. Vlamis Reseller for NAVTEQ® Map Data
We are pleased to announce that Vlamis Software Solutions is now a reseller for NAVTEQ® map data. NAVTEQ is the leading global provider of maps, traffic data, and location data. They also supply the mapping data and location content for Oracle Business Intelligence. We are honored to be selected as the first NAVTEQ reseller focusing on Oracle Business Intelligence. OLAP Reception Tuesday Night at OOW

OBIEE 11g Available
As those of you that have followed our blog know, Oracle Business Intelligence 11g is now available from Oracle. This huge release introduces over 1000 new features. There are far too many features to highlight here. We are especially pleased to have true OLAP features such as hierarchical columns and custom groups in OBIEE and the new map views (see related article on OBIEE 11g map views). See Chris's blog entry for more information on the new release. We have already started designing systems for OBIEE 11g and look forward to migrating or implementing a new system for you. Being members of the Oracle Business Intelligence 11g Beta Program gave us a head start on the new features in OBIEE 11g. We are ready to share this expertise with you. Our classes are designed to be taught as "virtual instructor-led training", combining the cost savings of computer-based training with the instant feedback of instructor-led training. BIC2G New Release Imminent
Vlamis Software is honored to continue to supply the virtual machines that are used by Oracle partners world-wide to demonstrate Oracle EPM software. We are putting the finishing touches on a release based on the Hyperion 11.1.2 EPM Suite. This offering is only for members of the Oracle Partner program.
