Join Us for our Annual OpenWorld Reception

We are happy to invite you to our annual OpenWorld reception on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Join us for an evening of drinks, hors d’oeuvres and networking. In addition to food and drinks, we will incorporate some visualizations and analytics in the festivities—we’ll just leave it at that, so bring your conference badge and your phone. For more information and to request an invitation, visit our website.

Dan and Tim hope that you will be able to attend their sessions. With over 1000 sessions and over 50,000 people, it can be tough to find a time to meet at Oracle OpenWorld if we leave it up to chance. Please send an email to Doug if you are attending so we can help find a time to meet with Dan or Tim during this conference.

For Organizations New to Predictive Analytics, Bet on a Process and Not on a Project

Tim recently wrote an informative blog entry about getting your corporate management on board with using predictive analytics and data mining algorithms.

Tips for Migrating OAC and BICS

When working with an Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud or Oracle Analytics Cloud instance that has been migrated from one environment to another, your users may encounter an "access denied for user to path" error when performing actions that access their profile files. They may also not be able to see their "My Folders" folder or are unable to disable the Product Tour. See how we handled this issue in Jon’s blog.

Maps! Everyone Loves Maps!

Everyone loves maps! Arthur Dayton wrote a blog entry for ODTUG explaining why many companies aren’t using them and how that can all change with Oracle DB 12c and OBIEE 12c. Reexamine use cases for maps today!
